Jakestone sends service-related SMS messages to homeowners and trade professionals who opt in during account creation or the pro application process. These messages help coordinate service appointments, dispatch updates, payment confirmations, and other operational communications essential to delivering a seamless home-services experience. Jakestone does not send marketing or promotional text messages — all SMS communications are directly related to active service activity on the platform.

How Users Opt In

Homeowners

Homeowners opt in to receive SMS messages at jakestone.build/get-started by checking a consent checkbox during the 3-step signup process. The checkbox clearly states that the user agrees to receive service-related text messages from Jakestone.

Trade Professionals (Application)

Trade professionals opt in to receive SMS messages at jakestone.build/work by checking a consent checkbox during the pro application form. The checkbox clearly states that the applicant agrees to receive service-related text messages from Jakestone.

Trade Professionals (Admin Invite)

When a Jakestone admin enters a trade professional's phone number to invite them to the platform, the professional receives an initial SMS invite message. The invite clearly identifies Jakestone as the sender, describes the purpose of the message, and includes opt-out instructions (reply STOP to unsubscribe). To continue receiving messages and access the platform, the professional must complete account setup and accept the Terms and Conditions, which includes explicit SMS consent.
